Let me begin with a description of something wonderful, before I explain whats happened to it.
There is one thing that the entire world can understand 100%. Everyone can feel it deep in their heart & soul. It's only one word, two syllables, but it's meaning is so vast, so unknown & full of possibilities. Do you know the name of this word? It's okay, I'll tell you it's.... Music.
Yes, Music is the word. It's so vast because there are too many genres of music to list here. Everyone loves music, but they also love all the different choices of it. Music has been around for much longer than we realize. Music is also a big part of people's lives, most listen to music everyday.
Music is played for many reasons such as: Life, Death, Holidays, Birthdays and anything in between. Music is also very impressionable to young minds as they will listen and care about lyrical music more than older minds. That is what brings us to this page today. The issue is that our musical society has become so corrupted.
Music is such an inspiration, that it becomes some peoples muse for their life. Having music as your life's muse is no bad thing, except when it's leading you towards darker paths.
The genres we are going to be discussing are Rap/ Hip-Hop. These genres are playing a large roll in the lives of the upcoming generations. It's become the muse of their lives.
Many young minds are turning towards a life in music. Many are as talented as the musicians of old. The only problem is that in this day and age artists are becoming famous for the wrong reasons and images.
We used to pick artists by their heart, soul & talent. Now we choose the artist that speaks only of sex, drugs and mistreating women. Artists are jumping at the first corporation that offers a deal. They sign away the ability to create and sing what they want all for a quick buck. We choose to stifle the artists with a real message and promote the ones with a terrible message. We should start promoting the artists with a message that can steer these young minds in a better direction.
These young minds are our future and right now we have control of theirs, so why not let them have one. Let's stop promoting the wrong artist and start caring about music again. Let's bring back music full of heart & soul. Let's take back our music from the corporations and give it back to everyone. Music tells a story, so let's turn the page on this "Money Music" chapter & begin a new chapter of "Heart & Soul Music".
